As the popularity of our HDMICAT HDMI over dual CAT5 extender has grown we have seen the opportunity to expand the capabilities of the HDMI over CAT5 signal path.

The HDMOCAT is a unique device that offers HDMI + Optical 5.1 audio to the remote location plus IR Passthru from the remote location back to the Source location.

IR Passthru enables remote control via the CAT5 cables of all devices at the Source location.

We include an IR Receiver Extender cable + a 4 head IR Transmitter Blaster cable to enable simple and effective control of up to four source devices using a programmable remote (not supplied) or your equipment's own remotes.

Both the Tx (Transmitter) and Rx (Receiver) units now sport screw down lugs to enable secure installation in AV Racks or behind Source and Display equipment.

Our Tx and Rx units are both externally powered avoiding any possible problems due to power starvation on the HDMI 5v signal bus.

The HDMOCAT is HDMI v1.3 compliant and will deliver 1080p60 up to 45m over Dual CAT6 cables - our unit is also compatible with CAT5 and CAT5e cables though where possible we advise folk to use/install CAT6 cable (we do on all of our installs!).
