Lots of folk who are adding a Blu-ray Disc or HD DVD player to a legacy system find the lack of Multichannel Analogue Audio outputs on the likes of a Sony PS3 Blu-ray Disc player a draw back.

Where you have an AV Amplifier, AV Receiver or Audio Processor that lacks HDMI v1.3 compliant Inputs you have no way of accessing the HD audio encoded into many Blu-ray and HD DVD discs.

Octava Inc. have developed a unique converter that allows the PS3 (and similar devices) to deliver HD audio to any AV Amplifier, AV Receiver or Audio Processor that includes 7.1 or 5.1 Multichannel analogue audio inputs.

With the PS3 (and other HD capable HDMI equipped sources) attached to the new Octava converter and the Source set to Output 7.1 or 5.1 LPCM over HDMI our converter will decode the Multichannel LPCM audio and output the HD audio on its Multichannel RCA sockets.
