The Filmhouse
EdinburghTo design and install a custom video playback system.
This project presented The Media Factory with a considerable challenge. The Filmhouse had very specific requirements. For maximum audience impact, the video image had to be bright, and for the benefit of new or part-time operators, the controls had to be user friendly and flexible. On top of this, there would need to be close liaison with other contractors so that architectural and electrical contractors' needs could be met.
A smooth integration with the existing audio system, and a need to upgrade easily all contributed to a testing project. We custom designed a touchscreen panel interface and installed a high brightness video projector system with multi-format playback.
The result is that The Filmhouse can now take its place at the forefront of European Cinema and video presentations for theatrical releases and special events.
The Media Factory designed and implemented a highly flexible and upgradeable system tailored specifically to the needs of the client.
